How to start being self-aware


For starters, self-awareness is one of the initial steps to take the path of happiness, being self-aware is having a clear perception of your personality, Strengths, weaknesses, thoughts, beliefs, what motivates you and your emotions. This simple steps that I will show you now can be one of the hardest things you are going to do in your "inner life". It takes will power and motivation to be willing to start opening your eyes to your inner self and controlling your mind.


The brain is a very complex element in your body, we all think that we control our brain completely,  this is because we have this perception of being in control. Yeah, we can move our body, we can think and talk, we can communicate with the world outside of our body. But what we don't always know is that there is a completely another world inside us. In reality, our brain makes our decisions for us every time we have to choose between 2 or more options. The brain tend to have this old way of think by itself; this is called instinct; it is something that we bring within our DNA since before we are born. It is not something that we decide or understand completely, but it is something that with a little work and actions we will be able to control. It is why we need to open our eyes, to start being self-aware of ourselves.

If you have ever been in a car crash you may have sense that everything that happened was in slow motion, and you may notice details of your thought process and the event.That moment is known as a state of heightened awareness. Colors become sharper and brighter,  each sound seems to ripple right through you, Your brain starts recording memory and every sense is on point.

This special state of the brain can be learned and with a lot of practice it can be used as an advantage. engaging these types of heightened states and seeing new opportunities for interpretations in our thoughts, emotions, and conversations can be a very different way of looking at life and what is going on in your surrounding. Having awareness creates the opportunity to make changes in behavior and beliefs.

So now that you know what this is, you need to start practicing, we will give you a head start and will tell you how to initiate a change of lifestyle and mentality.


1. Start knowing your inner self


Probably you will think that this is crazy, but it was one of the most supporting things that I've made

The first thing to do is create a habit of sitting and talking in your mind to yourself, with that inner voice you hear inside your head. If so same as you read it, we have lost as humans the ability to listen to ourselves, sometimes we think we know everything about ourselves but the reality is another story. To find what you want one must know oneself. Without this communication within us, we will never be able to create our destiny of happiness, what we want for ourselves in life.

  2. Start taking thing more passively

Be aware of your daily movements, make a habit of thinking before acting. It can be heard as something very simple, but it is not. A large percentage of the world population follow the directions created by their subconscious. It can be misleading because although your subconscious takes care of keeping alive the carries in itself the primitive instincts of humans, convenience, and comfort to survive.

We must begin to be calmer with what happens in the world around us, without losing track of what we usually do. Humans tend to create cycles or patterns of behavior if we are aware of our steps we begin to direct our path as we wish to.

 3. Start paying close attention to your emotions


This is the key to success and one of the most difficult tasks to accomplish. Controlling your emotions starts with being aware of the moment, what is that thing that affects us positively or negatively. Be aware of emotions and things that make us feel good and fight against those that make us feel bad or negative.

to start knowing my inner self. Humans since the beginning of their time have developed new ways to communicate. Today the world have reached a level of communication when the easiest thing to do is communicate with another person digitally. This brings with it big problems, now people are so saturated with information that they forget their primary nature, to communicate with itself.
