Songkran: Biggest water festival on earth

Songkran Water Festival, Thailand
So,  you like to travel a lot? or just simply don't know where to go next in your adventures. Either of them can take you to the same place. "Songkran, The biggest water festival on earth"

The Songkran is known as a festival made in Thailand as their New Year's Celebration. The festival is celebrated on April 13 but holiday period is to April 15. Songkran means "Astrological passage" or transformation (Change).

Songkran celebrations come with very rich symbolic traditions. Traditionally Songkran is celebrated by friends and family by splashing water into each other in the form of best wishes and blessings for this new year, only after they visit the temples.

Mornings begins with merit-making, this is visiting local temples and offering some food to the Buddhist monks. The iconic ritual for this holiday is water pouring on Buddha statues. It represents the purification and the washing of your sins and bad luck.

The holiday is known for this very big festival, where young people and friends have been seen splashing water with water guns and every other type of water shooting artifact. It a very fun thing to watch.

Songkran stands to be the most popular festival in Thailand marking the new beginnings of the solar year. It becomes a Spring Cleaning day, both physical and spiritual ways. On the physical side, we are very refreshing for the hot summers in Thailand. Looking to the spiritual people who believes in this traditions tend to make new year resolutions for the change in this new days.

Also sometimes they use elephants and I think from my perspective is the most amazing think being a splash with water by an elephant.
